Privacy and discretion are tremendously important to me, having served decades in the finance industry. Trust simply is the ultimate currency. My strict policy simply is not to share or sell any of the collected private data.

Required for communication are: your first name and email address.

Optional data you may give: family name, street & number, postal code, city, country, phone.

How are these data used and why?

These are needed to respond to emails, reply to subscriptions, send newsletters & blog updates, inform about new functions & tools, as well as on any policy updates.

Who are your data shared with?

Your data are kept on secure Hostinger website servers & Google servers for handling emails in a later stage. Your data can only be transferred to third parties for whom you have duly and clearly given your consent, as well as to comply with legal obligations should they arise.

Who is responsible for the processing of your data?

Since this website is a purely private, non-commercial initiative, not brought to users as an independent entrepreneur nor through any corporate entity, that person is the creator of this site:

Data Protection

Even though this site is a 100% non-commercial and purely private initiative, laws and regulations may come into play nevertheless. For Europe that is the GDPRe regulation, the USA has its specific regulations as well as California which issued its own regulations in this respect.

I do not offer products or services; I do NOT give investment advice, but exclusively provide a purely educational and informative website with some basic tools enabling investors to build an ETF investment portfolio by showing where to find the information and dig deeper to make their own informed investment choices.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the execution of the contracted “service”, even if this “service” is totally for free like, as a non-exhaustive example, access to the Bond Calculator or receiving blog updates. Future offers of products or services will be based on the requested consent (subscription form). The data will be kept as long as the relationship is maintained or during the years necessary to comply with the legal obligations. As previously stated, the data will not be transferred to third parties except in cases where there is a legal obligation.

Any person has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not this website is processing your data and therefore you have the right to exercise your rights of access, rectification, treatment limitation and suppression of your data. In order to do any of this, simply write to email address paul@myinvestmentassistant.com, containing a header with the text “personal data request”, with a valid and clearly readable ID in attachment. After all we need to be sure it is you who is making the request. Conditions may occur where interested parties request that processing of their data be limited in which case these data will only be retained for the exercise of defense or claims.

MyInvestmentAssistant.com is built with and hosted by Hostinger, which in itself is fully GDPR compliant amongst others. Hostinger also takes care of the website security and ssl certification. If in the future some type of "plugin" would be required to further improve this site, it will be previously verified if any plugin is GDPR compliant.
